iPhone App for First Consult

A free iPhone App is now available for First Consult. This should come as great news for medicine students on clinical rotations! The app allows First Consult's content to be stored on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. A data connection is required for the initial content download and content updates, but is not required to use the app itself - so once you've downloaded the content, you can use it anywhere! First Consult is part of MD Consult, and you'll need a personal account on MD Consult in order to download the content and updates. If you haven't yet created a personal account, follow the instructions below to do so:
  1. Access MD Consult from a computer on campus, or from this link
  2. Click on "Create an Account" on the top right
  3. Complete the registration form, create your username and password, click "Submit" and log out

Once you have a username and password:

  1. Go to the App store on your device and install the First Consult app (from Elsevier)
  2. Login to First Consult with your MD Consult username and password
  3. Content download should occur automatically
