New database of medical cases launched by BioMed Central

BioMed Central have launched a new, freely available database of medical cases, called Cases Database.

The use of cases as a form of evidence is becoming more prevalent; this blog post by Richard Smith talks about this and the rationale for the Cases Database, or you can watch Michael Kidd from the Journal of Medical Case Reports explain:

The Cases Database brings together cases from over 100 journals. You can search for cases by condition, medication/intervention, demographic characteristics such as age or ethnicity, and a range of other criteria. Searching the Cases Database is free, and some of the articles are freely available. If you want an article that's not directly available try the e-Journal Portal, or failing that you can use Document Delivery. If there's anything I can help with just let me know.
